Time

time
goes by
 I forgot...
how time
just moved on
down roads
and up hills
to brighter colors
but i had  time
yes i was there
 i shined
i sang
i played
i danced,
there was a time
to sit under the moonlight
on the window sill

before  scratches and scrapes
 and rust setting in
before ...
Never mind!

now...
 i just sit
under the sun
the rain drops on me
days go by
into the next one...

every so often
when the weather's just right
not too hot not too cold
I'll sit quietly under a tree
and think about time!

Are You Overwhelmed, Discouraged, and Feeling Like God is Far Away?

Are You Overwhelmed, Discouraged,
and Feeling Like God is Far Away?

There are some days when you feel like you might be very far,
far away from the Lord.
You might be at this low point in your life where you feel you don't hear
Him any more or even care to.
You might even think you are backslidden and you may very well be.
Or you just might be entangled in your own ugly sin
but having a hard time admitting it.
Whatever the case, I really liked this quote and felt I should share it
to encourage you:

"Tell me where you lost the company of Christ,
and I will tell you the most likely place to find Him.

Have you lost Christ in the closet by restraining prayer?
Then it is there you must seek and find Him.

Did you lose Christ by sin?
You will find Christ in no other way but by the giving up of the sin,
and seeking by the Holy Spirit to mortify the member in which
the lust dwells.

Did you lose Christ by neglecting the Scriptures?
You must find Christ in the Scriptures.

It is a true proverb, "Look for a thing where you dropped it--it is there."

So look for Christ where you lost Him, for He has not gone away. "

~Charles Spurgeon

Without Christ we will not have true peace--He is our peace.
And like Peter who took his eyes off Christ and began to sink.
We need to remember to keep our eyes on the King!

E assim farei sem Cristo nao tenho verdadeira paz, Ele é a nossa paz.
E como Pedro que desviou o seu olhar de Cristo e começou afundar.
Tenho que me lembrar em manter os meus olhos no Rei!!
Amem!

Jerusalem!

“I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails.
I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking the kids camping.
I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children.
I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden.
I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder.
I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived.”

What kind of legacy are you leaving behind?

By Mary Lynn Smith

When evil people are destroyed, they are gone and forgotten,
but good people are remembered long after they are gone.
(Proverbs 12:7) How are you going to be remembered?
What does your life say about you?
Is it one of kindness, thoughtfulness, love, joy or is it filled with anger,
resentment, hatred, and bitterness.

What kind of legacy are you leaving behind?

You can have lasting peace. Find peace with God today.

Billy Graham once said, “The Bible is not an option; it’s a necessity.” This is especially true in times of despair that can lead to anxiety and fear. These are a few of many Bible verses to REFER to for peace and comfort.

“We can confidently say, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?’”
—Hebrews 13:6

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
—Philippians 4:6-7

“I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.”
—Psalm 34:4

“Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior and my God.”
—Psalm 42:5

“Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.”
—Matthew 6:34

“We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.”
—2 Corinthians 4:8-9

“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and loving kindness will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
—Psalm 23:1-6

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, 7 casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.”
—1 Peter 5:5-7

“So we can confidently say, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?'”
—Hebrews 13:6

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
—Revelation 21:4

You can have lasting peace. Find peace with God today.

Live Life, Worship!!

I don’t want to get to the end of my life and find that I have just lived the length of it. I want to have lived the width of it as well.
~Diane Ackerman~
