Dreams

dreams may drift away
but they will come back
silent as the thief sneaking in at night

dreams are for fools people say
but i'd rather be a fool than be old and gray
without even a failure to claim by name

dreams die first i've been told
but I have a dream that will never die
never fade will always shine

but this much i know
i'll have my dreams even when i'm old and gray
and i'll know
yes
i'll know
what it's like to
sail the seas
climb the trees

touch the  stars
face my darkest fears
and fly - fly - fly
fly away
yes i'll know
what it's like
to be free to be me!!

When Chaos comes!

when the noise gets too much
when the chaos is making me nuts
i head for the for the trees
way back yonder is where i go
off the  back road
'round the bend and down a little hill
cross the old wooden bridge
and walk among the trees to the end of the path
kick off my shoes
listen to some blues,
sing some songs,
talk to GOD...
no cell phone
no internet
no tv
no news
No one around...
Just me, nature
... me and my porch(wish I had one)
what a real great view!

...my victory comes from GOD!

By Mary Lynn Smith
"I wait quietly before God,
for my victory comes from him."
(Psalms 62:1) How do you wait for victory?
Do you panic? Are you fearful?
Do you worry? Do you make "your" plans?
The flip side, are you praising God
in the midst of your trial?
Are you standing on the word of God?
Are you trusting Him? Waiting quietly on God?
Victory is around the corner, don't give up.
By Mary Lynn Smith

TRADUÇÂO:

"Eu espero em silêncio perante o Senhor
pois a minha vitória vem D'Ele." Salmo 62:1

Como esperas tu pela vitória?
Entras em panico?
tens medo? preocupas-te?
No meio da tua aflição louvas o Senhor?
Confias N'Ele? A vitória está ao virar da esquina, não desanimes!

A Seu tempo, tudo a seu tempo!!

Do what you can to make grace happen

Infuse your life with action.
Don't wait for it to happen.
Make it happen.
Make your own future.
Make your own hope.
Make your own love.
And whatever your beliefs, honor your creator,
not by passively waiting for grace to come down from upon high,
but by doing what you can to make grace happen...
yourself, right now, right down here on Earth.

CHURCH. ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE

Church has several meanings, according to the Strong's Concordance.
The Greek word is Ekklesia.
Meaning one: A calling out.
Two: A religious congregation.
Three: Community of members on earth.
Four: Saints in heaven.

So, how many Churches are there in a city?
I will prove from God's Word that there is only one Church in every city.

Acts 8: 1 a  " And Saul (Who became Paul) was consenting to Stephen's death. On that day, a great and severe persecution broke out against the CHURCH WHICH WAS IN JERUSALEM.

Romans 16:1, " Now I introduce and commend Phoebe, a deaconess of the CHURCH AT CENCHREAE.

1 Corinthians 1: 2 a" To the CHURCH (ASSEMBLY)OF GOD WHICH IS IN CORINTH."

1 Thessalonians 1:1 a," Paul, Silvanus, ( Sillas) and Timothy, to the ASSEMBLY ( CHURCH) OF THE THESSALONIANS.

Now, where did they meet?

Acts 2:46, 47,  " And day after day they (The disciples) assembled in the temple with united purpose, and in their homes they broke bread ( Including the Lord's Supper). They partook of their food with gladness and simplicity and generous hearts.47 " Constantly praising God and being in favor and goodwill with all the people: and the Lord kept adding (To their number) daily those who were being saved (From spiritual death."

Romans 16:5 a," Remember me also to the CHURCH  which meets IN THEIR HOUSE.

Colossians 4:15, " Give my (Paul's) greetings to the brethren at Laodicea, and to Nympha and the ASSEMBLY which meets in HER HOUSE."

Philemon 1:2, " And to Apphia our sister and Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the CHURCH(ASSEMBLY) which meets  IN YOUR HOUSE.

Now read Revelation, chapter two.

I hope this will enlighten all to what God says about His Church. People will say," I   am going to My Church Sunday."  When did it become Your Church?
It is Christ's Church. He is the head of it, not the Pope or the Pastor.

Time

time
goes by
 I forgot...
how time
just moved on
down roads
and up hills
to brighter colors
but i had  time
yes i was there
 i shined
i sang
i played
i danced,
there was a time
to sit under the moonlight
on the window sill

before  scratches and scrapes
 and rust setting in
before ...
Never mind!

now...
 i just sit
under the sun
the rain drops on me
days go by
into the next one...

every so often
when the weather's just right
not too hot not too cold
I'll sit quietly under a tree
and think about time!

Are You Overwhelmed, Discouraged, and Feeling Like God is Far Away?

Are You Overwhelmed, Discouraged,
and Feeling Like God is Far Away?

There are some days when you feel like you might be very far,
far away from the Lord.
You might be at this low point in your life where you feel you don't hear
Him any more or even care to.
You might even think you are backslidden and you may very well be.
Or you just might be entangled in your own ugly sin
but having a hard time admitting it.
Whatever the case, I really liked this quote and felt I should share it
to encourage you:

"Tell me where you lost the company of Christ,
and I will tell you the most likely place to find Him.

Have you lost Christ in the closet by restraining prayer?
Then it is there you must seek and find Him.

Did you lose Christ by sin?
You will find Christ in no other way but by the giving up of the sin,
and seeking by the Holy Spirit to mortify the member in which
the lust dwells.

Did you lose Christ by neglecting the Scriptures?
You must find Christ in the Scriptures.

It is a true proverb, "Look for a thing where you dropped it--it is there."

So look for Christ where you lost Him, for He has not gone away. "

~Charles Spurgeon

Without Christ we will not have true peace--He is our peace.
And like Peter who took his eyes off Christ and began to sink.
We need to remember to keep our eyes on the King!

E assim farei sem Cristo nao tenho verdadeira paz, Ele é a nossa paz.
E como Pedro que desviou o seu olhar de Cristo e começou afundar.
Tenho que me lembrar em manter os meus olhos no Rei!!
Amem!

Jerusalem!

“I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails.
I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking the kids camping.
I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children.
I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden.
I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder.
I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived.”

What kind of legacy are you leaving behind?

By Mary Lynn Smith

When evil people are destroyed, they are gone and forgotten,
but good people are remembered long after they are gone.
(Proverbs 12:7) How are you going to be remembered?
What does your life say about you?
Is it one of kindness, thoughtfulness, love, joy or is it filled with anger,
resentment, hatred, and bitterness.

What kind of legacy are you leaving behind?

You can have lasting peace. Find peace with God today.

Billy Graham once said, “The Bible is not an option; it’s a necessity.” This is especially true in times of despair that can lead to anxiety and fear. These are a few of many Bible verses to REFER to for peace and comfort.

“We can confidently say, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?’”
—Hebrews 13:6

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
—Philippians 4:6-7

“I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.”
—Psalm 34:4

“Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior and my God.”
—Psalm 42:5

“Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.”
—Matthew 6:34

“We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.”
—2 Corinthians 4:8-9

“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and loving kindness will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
—Psalm 23:1-6

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, 7 casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.”
—1 Peter 5:5-7

“So we can confidently say, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?'”
—Hebrews 13:6

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
—Revelation 21:4

You can have lasting peace. Find peace with God today.

Bask in His Love

"And I pray that you and all God’s holy people will have the power to understand the greatness of Christ’s love—how wide,
how long, how high, and how deep that love is.
Christ’s love is greater than anyone can ever know, but I pray that you will be able to know that love.
Then you can be filled with everything God has for you.
With God’s power working in us, he can do much, much more than anything we can ask or think of."(Ephesians 3:18-20)
As we abide in His love, He will reveal the depth, the width, and the height of His love.
Ask God to fill you with everything He has for you. He wants to use you and His power to do His work. Bask in His love.

Escritor J.R.R.Tolkien

That I shall ever see

For still there are so many things
That I have never seen
In every wood in every spring
There is a different green

I sit beside the fire and think
Of people long ago
And people that will see a world
That I shall never know

But all the while I sit and think
Of times there were before
I listen for returning feet
And voices at the door”

Revival praying??

"Have you noticed how much praying for revival has been going on of
late - and how little revival has resulted? I believe the problem is
that we have been trying to substitute praying for obeying, and it
simply will not work. To pray for revival while ignoring the plain
precept laid down in Scripture is to waste a lot of words and get
nothing for our trouble. Prayer will become effective when we stop
using it as a substitute for obedience."

I know who is right and who is wrong.
I have my opinions, my own ideas and principles,
and although it may sound pretty mad from an adolescent,
I feel more of a person than a child,
I feel quite indepedent of anyone.”

To Sew Semear

The lessons of the harvest offer lessons for life. There is a need for one to clear the land and
till the soil, to form the furrows and in the right season plant the seed.
Just as vital is the role of one to tend and nurture the tender sprouts, to water and provide
the necessary nutrients, to weed and determine when the crop is mature and ready to harvest.
