A new YEAR is knocking at my door...

1. Praying, praying more!

3. Achar todos os dias bonitos e cumprir as regras acima:
    a. sorrir para estranhos.
    b. agradecer sempre.
    c. dar muitos elogios.
    d. vestir-me bem.
    e. por perfume.
    f. rir.
    g. tomar chá.
    h. ser charmosa, encantadora.
    i. apanhar flores.
    j. desejar ás pessoas um dia feliz.

         a. manter o coração livre do ódio.

"Nunca o deixarei, nunca o abandonarei".

Dreams

“I have dreamt in my life, dreams that have stayed with me ever after, and changed my ideas; they have gone through and through me, like wine through water, and altered the color of my mind."
~Emily Brontë~

The Bible defines a dream in Job 33:15, "In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;". TheBible says several things in this one verse. First of all, a dream is a vision of the night. The verse also teaches that a dream occurs when deep sleep falls upon men. According to the Bible, a vision is something that occurs when a man is awake, while a dream is something that occurs when a man is asleep. Some who study dreams say that we are always dreaming when we sleep, but we only remember the dreams right before we awake. This would actually fit with the scriptures in several cases where men remember a dream that actually woke them up...

Beloved GOD

“You who never arrived
in my arms, Beloved, who were lost
from the start,
I don't even know what songs
would please you. I have given up trying
to recognize you in the surging wave of
the next moment. All the immense
images in me -- the far-off, deeply-felt landscape,
cities, towers, and bridges, and un-
suspected turns in the path,
and those powerful lands that were once
pulsing with the life of the gods--
all rise within me to mean
you, who forever elude me.

You, Beloved, who are all
the gardens I have ever gazed at,
longing. An open window
in a country house-- , and you almost
stepped out, pensive, to meet me. Streets that I chanced
upon,--
you had just walked down them and vanished.
And sometimes, in a shop, the mirrors
were still dizzy with your presence and, startled, gave back
my too-sudden image. Who knows? Perhaps the same
bird echoed through both of us
yesterday, separate, in the evening... ”

PEACEFUL NIGHT

“I love the silent hour of night, for blissful dreams may then arise, revealing to my charmed sight what may not bless my waking eyes.”
~Anne Brontë~

Peaceful night, pleasant dreams.. God Bless!

I’M A LIITLE TEA POT

*She stands up and waves her hands dramatically in the air
pretending to conduct a large orchestra*
“I’m a little tea pot, short and stout…”
*She puts her left hand on her hip
mimicking the handle of a tea pot*
“Here is my handle, here is my spout…”
*She puts her right hand in an arch
mimicking the spout of a teapot*
“When I get all steamed up, then I shout,
Just tip me over, pour me out!”
*She leans over to the right side as far as she can go*

Well – THAT was liberating…
Maybe not…

Getting old you know!
No matter what your age, I’m sure you’ve heard this song at one time or another.
But where did it come from? Most of us think it is a nursery rhyme,
but it actually has a history more noteworthy than that…

The song was written in 1939 by George Sanders and Clarence Kelly in
Tin Pan Alley – The Core of the Music publishing District at that time.
Kelley at that time, ran a dance school that specialized in teaching tap
dance maneuvers. The school was open to even the youngest children, who were still
what I like to think of as bobble-head little kidlets… You know the ones: Heads that
still look just a little bit too big for their bodies, the ones that have a handle on
the basic walk and are now mastering the run… tiny little tots… As one could
imagine – teaching youngsters like this dance steps would not be an easy task.
Attention spans alone ( never-mind physical coordination issues) involved in a
dance routine for the paying parents would be quite an undertaking. Sanders,
who usually played the piano accompaniment to the school’s dance recitals worked
with Kelley to create song that the children could sing to remember their dance moves,
hence creating the “Teapot Tip”.

For more information on this song’s origins look for the book by Ronald Sanders
(the son of George Sanders) entitled “Reflections on a Teapot: The Personal History of Time”.
It was published in 1972 by Harper and Row.

And here is the song taken from you tube... cute hein?

OS CÉUS PROCLAMAM A GLÓRIA DO MEU SENHOR...

Vendo os céus moverem-se
de forma contínua
de acordo com leis definidas,
e as coisas tercenas
com uma ordem estabelecida,
tal como suas várias funções
em diferentes momentos...
Só se pode pensar que
tem de existir um poder superior
DEUS!!!

LIGHT

My Light

Jesus is my way

my light,

He leads me through

the darkest of nights

so many heartaches endured,

one thing is for sure.

There will be no pain

When Jesus calls

I will go

no more  tears,

panic or fear.

In heaven white as snow

I shall be dressed.

streets of gold,

Jesus will be there,

Never again alone,

greater love

has ever been shown.

A childs birthday is always a Joyful day, happy and sweet...

BE ANXIOUS FOR NOTHING

Don’t be anxious! Paul said there is nothing that should cause a child of God to worry. He was well aware of things that cause anxiety. His nation was occupied by a foreign army and ruled by corrupt leaders. He was writing from prison where he was being held as a result of false accusations. He was separated from those he loved; his motives had been questioned, and he had been misrepresented. Some were trying to undermine all that he had accomplished in starting churches. He suffered physically and faced imminent execution (2 Cor. 11:23-29). Yet Paul said there would never be a crisis so troubling that God could not bring peace in the midst of it.

God will not necessarily take your problems away, but He will carry the load for you. He wants you to experience His peace, which is beyond human comprehension. You will never fully understand how God could give you peace in some of the situations you face, but you do not have to understand it in order to experience it. This peace is not just for those who "handle stress well"; it is for everyone! You may know that God wants you to experience peace but wonder how this is possible, given what you are presently facing. Yet, Scripture says to be anxious for nothing. God's word clearly indicates that there is nothing you can face that is too difficult, troubling, or fearful for God. No matter what your circumstances are, turn your anxiety over to God and let His perfect peace guard your heart.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. PHILIPPIANS 4:6

GENTELNESS

Equal time for the gentlemen. Strong hearts, and gentle souls are a blessing to the earth and humanity...

And we "girls" just love the gentelness, the strong loving arms of a gentelmen...!!

“I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend.”

HOUSE OF THE LORD

“i am a little church(no great cathedral)
far from the splendor and squalor of hurrying cities
--i do not worry if briefer days grow briefest,
i am not sorry when sun and rain make april

my life is the life of the reaper and the sower;
my prayers are prayers of earth's own clumsily striving
(finding and losing and laughing and crying)children
whose any sadness or joy is my grief or my gladness

around me surges a miracle of unceasing
birth and glory and death and resurrection:
over my sleeping self float flaming symbols
of hope, and i wake to a perfect patience of mountains

i am a little church(far from the frantic
world with its rapture and anguish)at peace with nature
--i do not worry if longer nights grow longest;
i am not sorry when silence becomes singing

winter by spring,i lift my diminutive spire to
merciful Him Whose only now is forever:
standing erect in the deathless truth of His presence
(welcoming humbly His light and proudly His darkness)”

MEDITATION

A meditation by Kahlil Gibran

And a poet said, "Speak to us of Beauty." And he answered:

Where shall you seek beauty, and how shall you find her unless she herself be your way and your guide? And how shall you speak of her except she be the weaver of your speech?
The aggrieved and the injured say, "Beauty is kind and gentle. Like a young mother half-shy of her own glory she walks among us." And the passionate say, "Nay, beauty is a thing of might and dread. Like the tempest she shakes the earth beneath us and the sky above us."
The tired and the weary say, "beauty is of soft whisperings. She speaks in our spirit. Her voice yields to our silences like a faint light that quivers in fear of the shadow." But the restless say, "We have heard her shouting among the mountains, And with her cries came the sound of hoofs, and the beating of wings and the roaring of lions."
At night the watchmen of the city say, "Beauty shall rise with the dawn from the east." And at noontide the toilers and the wayfarers say, "we have seen her leaning over the earth from the windows of the sunset."
In winter say the snow-bound, "She shall come with the spring leaping upon the hills." And in the summer heat the reapers say, "We have seen her dancing with the autumn leaves, and we saw a drift of snow in her hair." All these things have you said of beauty. Yet in truth you spoke not of her but of needs unsatisfied, And beauty is not a need but an ecstasy. It is not a mouth thirsting nor an empty hand stretched forth, But rather a heart enflamed and a soul enchanted.
It is not the image you would see nor the song you would hear, But rather an image you see though you close your eyes and a song you hear though you shut your ears. It is not the sap within the furrowed bark, nor a wing attached to a claw, But rather a garden for ever in bloom and a flock of angels for ever in flight.
People of Orphalese, beauty is life when life unveils her holy face. But you are life and you are the veil. Beauty is eternity gazing at itself in a mirror. But you are eternity and your are the mirror.

FAITH

“None of us knows what might happen even the next minute, yet still we go forward. Because we trust. Because we have Faith.”
~Paulo Coelho, Brida~

Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

SOFTLY CRAWLS THE NIGHT....

I need to say an early good night.
Thankful for another day, and the gift of sharing it in some small way here, with you.
Be good to one another always.
Be quick to forgive, and slow to savor the beauty around you.

"Slowly, gently, night unfurls its splendour.
Grasp it, sense it tremulous and tender.
Turn your face away from the garish light of day,
Turn your face away from cold, unfeeling light -
and listen to the music of the night..."
Phantom of the Opera...

SALVATION - FORGIVENESS

Today is the day of salvation.
Don't put it off for any reason, ask Jesus into your heart today.
Just pray "Jesus come into my heart and forgive me of my sins and be my Lord and Savior."

Your love will never be the same.

GODS NATURE

"If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy,
if a blade of grass springing up
in the fields has power to move you,
if the simple things in nature
have a message you understand,
rejoice,
for your soul is alive...

Disaderata

"Desiderata foi uma princesa do reino da Lombardia, tendo sido a primeira esposa de Carlos Magno com quem casou em 770 . Foi filha de Desidério, o último rei dos Lombardos.
"Desiderata", poema de Max Ehrmann - 1927"

Be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars. In the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul.

Simple beauty

1 Peter 3:3-4

Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious.

Serenity

As the dictionary:
The word "ACCEPTANCE" is:

the act of taking or receiving something offered.

the fact or state of being accepted or acceptable.

...so it could mean embracing what is,   instead of wishing for what is not. When we accept difficult realities,
we are able to discover  positive feelings.
We become  more at peace.  Even so, acceptance must be guided by discernment – learning how to tell the difference between what we can change and what we cannot.

Acceptance of our faults and the faults of others helps us to be patient and to avoid hurtful kinds of criticism or judgment. By accepting faults.
And this acceptance often leads to growth creating insight and understanding."

But only with God we can come to Acceptance which will lead to SERENITY!!

Dreams

Ecclesiastes 5:3 - For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool's voice [is known] by multitude of words.

"Had I the heavens’ embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams."

REMINDER

Today, I had to be reminded that I cannot be so self centered...
